Porsche Centre Preston has confirmed its sponsorship of Preston-based racing driver Holly Crankshaw as she prepares for the 2025 Retro Kart Championship season.
33-year-old Holly is competing in six national championship rounds between April and September, racing in Class 1B with the Retro Kart Championship. Her kart, a 1974 Zip Shadow with period-correct engines, will carry race number 13. In addition, she may compete in a one-off Open Plate event in October at Fulbeck.
Each championship meeting consists of a Saturday practice and setup day, followed by Sunday racing with three heats and a final. The calendar includes events at Rowrah, Three Sisters, Shenington, Rissington, and Dunkeswell.
Bowker MINI is sponsoring Penwortham Town Football Club’s Under 8 Blue team.
The support from Bowker MINI’s Preston dealership has enabled the team to receive waterproof jackets for the current season.
The Under 8 Blue team is part of Penwortham Town Football Club, which is located just outside Preston. Founded in 1977, Penwortham Town was one of the original members of both the Central Lancs Junior and Mid Lancs Colts Football Leagues.
The club runs multiple youth teams across different age categories, including the Under 8s, and is committed to promoting grassroots football in the local area.
This month, Bowker MINI showcased the latest MINI lineup at the Royal Lancashire Show, while Bowker Blackburn Sales Executive Adam proudly claimed ‘Best Overall MINI’ at the Lytham Classic MINI Meet.

Bowker Motor Group has recognised Group Service Manager Stewart Rose for completing 40 years of continuous service with the company.
Stewart Rose joined Bowker Motor Group on 1 June 1985 as an apprentice technician at the Accrington dealership.
Over the past four decades, he has held various roles including workshop foreman, technical adviser, and workshop controller before becoming BMW Group Service Manager, responsible for both the Blackburn and Preston Businesses.
During his time with Bowker, Stewart has witnessed the business relocate twice and grow into one of the most decorated BMW retailers in the country.
Bowker Motorrad-supported rider Kieran returned to the track for Round 2 after six weeks away – and marked his comeback with a personal best lap time and his first-ever main event podium.
The weekend got off to a strong start in Free Practice 1, where Kieran set a new PB lap time. It was a confidence-boosting result that set the tone for the sessions ahead.
In qualifying, Kieran made the most of the early laps, picking up a useful tow to build momentum. After a brief reset in the pits, he pushed again in the final minutes and delivered a clean, fast lap to secure P6 on the grid.

Bowker BMW has agreed to a three-year sponsorship deal with Preston Golf Club to support its Junior Golf Team.
The partnership will provide funding for coaching, competitions, equipment, and team kits for young golfers aged 5 to 18. As part of the sponsorship, Bowker BMW’s branding will feature on team apparel, club signage, and social media, as well as at club events throughout the season.
Bowker BMW has enjoyed a long partnership with Preston Golf Club. The new sponsorship represents an extension of the Preston-based BMW centre’s support. Bowker BMW already sponsors a hole, a buggy and the driving range.
Preston Golf Club’s Junior Section offers structured coaching programmes and competitive opportunities for young players, with some competing at regional, national, and international levels. The club has SafeGolf accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to safeguarding children and young people in the sport.
Jonathan Rogan, Bowker BMW Preston, said: “We were approached by Karl who organises the junior section at the golf club. We were impressed by his passion for the sport and vision for the Junior Golf Team at Preston Golf Club. The club’s coaching programme is built around the Junior Golf Passport, which helps young golfers and their families track progress. The sponsorship will contribute to the continued growth of the Junior Section and enhance its ability to provide high-quality coaching and competitive opportunities.
The Junior Section currently has more than 100 members, with over 60 actively participating in coaching and competitions. Seven internal competitions run throughout the year, concluding with the Adam Scott Trophy, which Adam himself sponsors. Over the past two years, junior participation has increased, supported by the club’s provision of winter access to the driving range on Friday nights. Coaching is delivered by Assistant Professional Sean Patchell.
Karl Ramalli, Junior Organiser at Preston Golf Club, said: “This sponsorship is fantastic news for our junior players. Support from Bowker BMW means we can provide more coaching, better equipment, and greater opportunities for our young golfers to develop and compete.”

Bowker Motorrad-supported rider Kieran returned to the track for Round 2 after six weeks away – and marked his comeback with a personal best lap time and his first-ever main event podium.
The weekend got off to a strong start in Free Practice 1, where Kieran set a new PB lap time. It was a confidence-boosting result that set the tone for the sessions ahead.
In qualifying, Kieran made the most of the early laps, picking up a useful tow to build momentum. After a brief reset in the pits, he pushed again in the final minutes and delivered a clean, fast lap to secure P6 on the grid.
Heat 1 saw Kieran line up on the front row and claim the Holeshot, leading the first lap with confidence. Despite being passed by two riders, he held position to finish in P3 – adding another podium to his tally.
Starting from second in the main event, Kieran got off to a strong start and settled into the top four early on. A crash ahead promoted him to third, and a brave attempt to move up the order saw him momentarily take second before a dramatic high-side moment forced him to regroup. He held off late pressure on the final lap to cross the line in third – securing his first podium in a main event.
Bowker Motorrad is proud to support Kieran on his racing journey and celebrates his continued progress. A huge thanks goes to Gary Walton for his coaching across the weekend. With momentum building, we look forward to seeing what’s next at WSBK Donington.

During his time with Bowker, Stewart has witnessed the business relocate twice and grow into one of the most decorated BMW retailers in the country. This includes a series of national awards achieved by Bowker BMW and MINI Blackburn in aftersales. Between 2014 and 2018, the centre was recognised multiple times in BMW UK’s High Achievers in Aftersales awards.
Stewart was part of the team that won BMW Team of the Year in 2015 and played a leading role when the centre was named Aftersales Retailer of the Year in 2016. That same year, he received the individual title of BMW and MINI Service Manager of the Year, selected from more than 150 managers nationwide.
Stewart Rose said: “When I joined as an apprentice back in 1985, I never imagined I’d still be here 40 years later. But it’s been a great journey, and I’ve had the chance to work with some brilliant people along the way. The job’s changed a lot, but the things that matter – good people, good service, and doing things properly – are still the same.”
As a former apprentice himself, Stewart has been a champion of inspiring younger colleagues’ career development. This included Bowker Motor Group’s apprentice programme, maintaining long-standing links with local colleges and supporting the development of future technicians. One of Stewart’s first apprentices was current Bowker Motor Group CEO, Paul Bowker.
Jonathan Rogan, Bowker Motor Group director, said: “Stewart’s been with us longer than some of our staff have been alive! And that just shows how much experience, loyalty and calm leadership he brings to the team. He’s seen the business change beyond recognition, but he’s never changed his approach.
“He’s steady, genuine, and always wants the best for customers and colleagues. He really is one of a kind.”
Stewart is among the longest-serving members of staff at Bowker, and his contribution has been formally acknowledged by the company on previous milestones, including a celebratory hot air balloon ride for his 25th anniversary.

Porsche Centres in Bolton and Preston have announced a new sponsorship agreement with Bolton-based racing driver Tom Bradshaw for the 2025 motorsport season. The sponsorship represents the first time the two centres have joined forces to sponsor a racing driver.
The new partnership will see Bradshaw represent the centres while competing for Toro Verde GT in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain.
Bradshaw will campaign the GT4RS Clubsport throughout the 2025 season, building on a strong 2024 performance that included two lights-to-flag wins at Oulton Park. He began his career in 2006 when he won the Formula Ford North West Championship. He went on to become the most successful driver in Formula Palmer Audi history. He was also the inaugural Porsche GB Junior Driver in 2009.
From Danny’s trip to the Lake District in his Countryman to Adam’s family getaway to Porthmadog in their MINI Cooper, and even a classic MINI making an appearance at Bowker Blackburn MINI – it’s been a month full of amazing MINI moments across both of our Centres.
