Bowker Motorrad-supported rider Kieran returned to the track for Round 2 after six weeks away – and marked his comeback with a personal best lap time and his first-ever main event podium.
The weekend got off to a strong start in Free Practice 1, where Kieran set a new PB lap time. It was a confidence-boosting result that set the tone for the sessions ahead.
In qualifying, Kieran made the most of the early laps, picking up a useful tow to build momentum. After a brief reset in the pits, he pushed again in the final minutes and delivered a clean, fast lap to secure P6 on the grid.
Heat 1 saw Kieran line up on the front row and claim the Holeshot, leading the first lap with confidence. Despite being passed by two riders, he held position to finish in P3 – adding another podium to his tally.
Starting from second in the main event, Kieran got off to a strong start and settled into the top four early on. A crash ahead promoted him to third, and a brave attempt to move up the order saw him momentarily take second before a dramatic high-side moment forced him to regroup. He held off late pressure on the final lap to cross the line in third – securing his first podium in a main event.
Bowker Motorrad is proud to support Kieran on his racing journey and celebrates his continued progress. A huge thanks goes to Gary Walton for his coaching across the weekend. With momentum building, we look forward to seeing what’s next at WSBK Donington.

Bowker Motor Group has recognised Group Service Manager Stewart Rose for completing 40 years of continuous service with the company.
Stewart Rose joined Bowker Motor Group on 1 June 1985 as an apprentice technician at the Accrington dealership. Over the past four decades, he has held various roles including workshop foreman, technical adviser, and workshop controller before becoming BMW Group Service Manager, responsible for both the Blackburn and Preston Businesses.
During his time with Bowker, Stewart has witnessed the business relocate twice and grow into one of the most decorated BMW retailers in the country. This includes a series of national awards achieved by Bowker BMW and MINI Blackburn in aftersales. Between 2014 and 2018, the centre was recognised multiple times in BMW UK’s High Achievers in Aftersales awards.
Stewart was part of the team that won BMW Team of the Year in 2015 and played a leading role when the centre was named Aftersales Retailer of the Year in 2016. That same year, he received the individual title of BMW and MINI Service Manager of the Year, selected from more than 150 managers nationwide.
Stewart Rose said: “When I joined as an apprentice back in 1985, I never imagined I’d still be here 40 years later. But it’s been a great journey, and I’ve had the chance to work with some brilliant people along the way. The job’s changed a lot, but the things that matter – good people, good service, and doing things properly – are still the same.”
As a former apprentice himself, Stewart has been a champion of inspiring younger colleagues’ career development. This included Bowker Motor Group’s apprentice programme, maintaining long-standing links with local colleges and supporting the development of future technicians. One of Stewart’s first apprentices was current Bowker Motor Group CEO, Paul Bowker.
Jonathan Rogan, Bowker Motor Group director, said: “Stewart’s been with us longer than some of our staff have been alive! And that just shows how much experience, loyalty and calm leadership he brings to the team. He’s seen the business change beyond recognition, but he’s never changed his approach.
“He’s steady, genuine, and always wants the best for customers and colleagues. He really is one of a kind.”
Stewart is among the longest-serving members of staff at Bowker, and his contribution has been formally acknowledged by the company on previous milestones, including a celebratory hot air balloon ride for his 25th anniversary.

BMW i5 Touring Wins Best EV Estate from Top Gear
BMW’s electric lineup continues to impress, with the BMW i5 Touring taking home Best EV Estate at the Top Gear Electric Awards 2025. The eighth-generation 5 Series has now achieved its 25th accolade, with the i5 Touring praised for its balance of performance, practicality, and innovation.

Porsche Centre Preston and Porsche Centre Bolton recently hosted their first joint Track Day at the Anglesey Circuit, bringing together customers from both Centres for a day of exciting driving.
Set against the backdrop of the Welsh coastline, the event provided guests with the opportunity to experience the performance and capabilities of their Porsche models in a controlled track environment. The day offered a balance of high-performance driving and customer hospitality, reinforcing Porsche’s commitment to delivering exceptional experiences both on and off the road.
Attendees enjoyed a trackside BBQ lunch catered by The Ready Steady Chef, followed by an evening meal at the Ocean’s Edge Restaurant. The experience concluded with an overnight stay at the Trearddur Bay Hotel.

Porsche Centres in Bolton and Preston have announced a new sponsorship agreement with Bolton-based racing driver Tom Bradshaw for the 2025 motorsport season. The sponsorship represents the first time the two centres have joined forces to sponsor a racing driver.
The new partnership will see Bradshaw represent the centres while competing for Toro Verde GT in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain.
Bradshaw will campaign the GT4RS Clubsport throughout the 2025 season, building on a strong 2024 performance that included two lights-to-flag wins at Oulton Park. He began his career in 2006 when he won the Formula Ford North West Championship. He went on to become the most successful driver in Formula Palmer Audi history. He was also the inaugural Porsche GB Junior Driver in 2009.

Bowker MINI is sponsoring Preston-based dancer Lilliana Willacy as she prepares to represent Team England at the 2025 Dance World Cup in Burgos, Spain.
Lilliana, who has secured a place in six group dance categories, will compete in ballet, lyrical/contemporary, tap, song and dance, and large group performances.
The international competition, set to take place from 3rd –12th July at the Evolution Forum Burgos in Spain, will bring together dancers from 71 countries.
Lilliana Willacy said: “I still can’t believe I’ve been chosen to represent Team England! Dancing at the Dance World Cup is a dream come true, and I’m so excited to perform in Spain with my teammates. I’m really grateful for all the support and now from Bowker MINI too – and I can’t wait to get on that stage!”
Lilliana’s mum, Rachel Anne Willacy, added: “Lilliana is so excited to be part of Team England. This is a dream come true for her, and we are incredibly proud. The support from Bowker MINI means a great deal as we prepare for the competition.”
Lilliana is a four-time regional champion and winner of the Miss Lancashire Dancer title. She has achieved distinctions in all her dance exams and has even performed at Disneyland Paris. Since beginning her competitive journey, Lilliana has won over 40 special awards.
Richard Clare, MINI Brand Manager at Bowker, said: “Lilliana’s dedication and talent are truly inspiring. Representing Team England on such a global stage is a huge achievement, and we are delighted to support her on this journey.”
The Dance World Cup is one of the largest international dance competitions, with dancers qualifying through national selections. The event aims to promote cultural exchange and artistic development across various dance disciplines.
A fundraising effort is underway to help cover costs such as travel, costumes, rehearsals, and uniforms. Donations of any amount are welcome to support Lilliana’s journey to Spain.

Bowker MINI has agreed to sponsor 10-year-old BMX rider Maisie Egan from Blackburn for the 2025 BMX race season.
Maisie, who currently holds both the National and British Champion titles in her age category, has been competing in BMX races since 2021. Her race history includes appearances in the North Region BMX series and the British Cycling BMX National Series.
In June 2024, she won both rounds of the BMX National Series in Cumbernauld, Scotland. She is now preparing to compete at a European level, with plans to race in Latvia and Denmark during the 2025 season.
Mark Egan, Maisie’s father, said: “Maisie lives and breathes BMX, and we’re over the moon Bowker MINI has stepped in to support her. She’s always looking for the next challenge, and racing in Europe will really push her to the next level. It’s great to have local backing that believes in her as much as we do.”
Maisie’s upcoming schedule includes European races aimed at preparing her for the 2025 European Championships in Latvia and the World Championships in Copenhagen. Her performances have been documented on cycling platform Roots & Rain, highlighting her development from 2021 to 2024.
Chris Eccles, Head of Business at Bowker MINI, said: “We’re proud to be part of Maisie’s journey. She’s already achieved so much at such a young age, and it’s exciting to think where this support might take her next. Backing a young local athlete like Maisie makes perfect sense. We can’t wait to see where the season takes her.”
Bowker MINI has a track record of supporting young sportspeople in Lancashire. Last year, they sponsored young Driver Ashley Gregory from Rossendale. The three-time Junior Ministox Champion (at the time) began racing at the age of 10 and was competing in the Vertu MINI Challenge Series, where she is one of only two female drivers when sponsored.

Bowker MINI on the docks in Preston has partnered with Preston North End Community and Education Trust to support their Easter campaign, which will see Easter eggs distributed to children and families across Preston.
The Trust will share the Easter eggs with low-income families, food banks, and young people in some of Preston’s most deprived areas. The eggs will be distributed in the lead-up to Easter, during the Easter weekend, and at Preston North End’s home fixture against QPR on Good Friday.
The initiative, which began during the UK’s first COVID-19 lockdown, is now in its fourth year and has grown to benefit hundreds of local families annually. Bowker MINI’s support means that Bowker Motor Group has supported the campaign for three consecutive years alongside other local businesses.
Jonathan Rogan, for Bowker MINI, said: “We’re proud to be supporting this campaign for a third year. It’s a wonderful initiative that brings a little joy to children and families who may be going through tough times. We admire the Trust’s commitment to our community and hope these small gifts make Easter that bit more special for those who need it most.”

Porsche Centre Preston Hosts First-Ever Symphony Orchestra Concert in a Car Centre
Porsche Centre Preston welcomed a packed audience of more than 250 for a candlelit concert featuring the newly-reformed Preston Symphony Orchestra.
Guests were welcomed with a drinks reception before taking their seats among the showroom’s luxury vehicles for a performance by the 60-piece orchestra. The programme featured a mix of classical compositions and popular pieces from stage and screen.
The concert at Porsche Centre Preston represented a milestone in the orchestra’s development, demonstrating strong community and corporate support for the arts in Preston.
