Thanks to our extensive charging solutions, you’ll also always find the right charging solution near you for your electric car or plug-in hybrid. Take advantage of one of Europe’s largest charging networks, which is growing all the time. With up to 551,000 public charging points at which you can conveniently charge your electric car.
CHARGING AT HOME.
You can charge your electric car or plug-in hybrid conveniently at home at your chosen charging speed* using a home charger or with the BMW Flexible Charging Cable at a high-power or domestic socket outlet. bp pulse
New vehicle customers who purchase a new fully electric or
plug-in hybrid BMW vehicle from Bowker BMW are eligible to receive a
“bp pulse” package for 12 months without subscription fee (normally
£7.85/month) if they have registered for the Flex tariff.*
IONITY Plus
New vehicle customers who purchase a new fully electric BMW iX3 or
BMW iX through Bowker BMW are additionally eligible to receive the
“IONITY Plus” package for 12 months without subscription fee
(normally £11.30/month) if they register for the Flex tariff.*

You gain access to the world of BMW Charging at the same time as you receive your electric BMW: in the form of your personal BMW Charging Card and AC Fast charging cable for public charging. All you have to do is log in with your BMW ID and your vehicle identification number to www.bmw-charging.com, conclude a charging contract and request/activate your BMW Charging Card. At the latest within 24 hours, the extensive, nationwide public network is activated for you, and you can start charging right away! Your charging sessions are initiated easily and conveniently via BMW Charging and as part of the monthly billing, you receive an overall statement detailing all charging session.
With BMW Charging, we aim to make public charging as easy and attractive as charging at home. For example, A Flex tariff provides convenient, subscription free access to a superregional, continuously expanding public charging network – all via the BMW Charging Card or App.
For frequent users, additional subscription packages offering reduced rates from bp pulse and/or IONITY are optionally available. Furthermore, BMW new-vehicle customers enjoy twelve months bp pulse package without subscription fee*. And new-vehicle BMW iX3 customers also receive the IONITY Plus package for twelve months without subscription fee*.

Your electric or plug-in hybrid car can be charged wherever you have access to power – whether at home or at the workplace, from a conventional socket or with the bp pulse wallbox for faster charging. When you are travelling, with BMW Charging you’ll have simple access to an expanding superregional network of public AC Fast charging stations from providers such as bp pulse, or high-power DC Rapid charging stations, such as those from IONITY.
Yes of course. Simply use the steadily expanding public network of BMW Charging or other charging stations as available, such as from your employer. The My BMW App* or the navigation system in your vehicle shows you public charge points in the vicinity. You will also find a map with the public charging infrastructure at www.bmw-charging.com or via the BMW Charging App. Attractive public charging tariffs and personalised offers are also available exclusively to BMW customers.
The time taken to charge electric cars (depending on the cable or charging station) takes longer with alternating current (AC), while direct current (DC) is significantly faster. The new BMW i3, for example, is charged from 0-80% after approx. 40 minutes when charged with 50 kW at a Rapid charging (DC) station. These are commonly found at motorway service stations. Alternatively, using a BP Pulse wallbox, the charging time is between 3 – 5 hours.
In Europe, the public high-power charging (HPC) network of IONITY is integrated directly into the BMW Charging public charging service. All you need to do is register for BMW Charging, conclude the attractive subscription free Flex tariff and request/activate your card as applicable. At the latest within 24 hours you can start charging.
