Bowker BMW have extended their partnership to support a North West-based pursuit of the 2022 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.
Last year, Bowker BMW became the new official parts provider for the Car Gods with Ciceley Motorsport Race Team.
Bowker BMW will also continue to support Ciceley Motorsport with a sponsored car for Blackburn-based driver Adam Morgan. The eye-catching matt black BMW X4 has been signwritten with Bowker BMW and Ciceley Motorsport logos. The car is predicted to clock up over 5,000 miles throughout the North West and between UK circuits throughout the racing season.
Bowker Motor Group director Chris Eccles said: “We loved being involved last year and we are excited to be involved again. We will help with parts and provide Adam with the new BMW X4. Last year, the team’s first season back in a BMW, saw podiums and wins for Adam in a solid race season. We’re keeping everything crossed for more placings for the team in 2022.”
Last season was Ciceley Motorsport’s first season driving BMWs. Adam Morgan enjoyed two wins including a double podium at Oulton Park. After their first season driving BMWs, the team will hope to finish even higher than their 9th place in the team standings this season.
Competing in his 11th season in BTCC, Adam Morgan is upbeat about the team’s prospects for the approaching campaign. Adam said: “Bowker BMW was a big part of the team’s success last year. It is wonderful news to have the local dealership on board once again. Travelling between races and testing can be long and arduous; even more draining than the races themselves sometimes! The new BMW X4 will play a crucial role in the team logistics and that will be a huge help for me and the team.”
Following an extensive pre-season testing programme for the Car Gods Ciceley Motorsport team, the 2022 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season will get underway at Donington Park on 23rd-24th April.
The team has just revealed their line up for the coming season which, this year, includes BTCC support race front runner George Gamble. George will partner Adam in their pair of Car Gods backed BMW 330e M Sport Saloons for his debut season in the Championship.
Adam added: “It’s fantastic to have George join the team for this year, his pedigree in rear wheel drive machinery on the TOCA package is second to none, and after our first couple of meetings together he has fit straight into the team dynamic. With a learning year under our belts last season with the BMW’s, we are in a brilliant position to have a proper run at the title in 2022”.

We are delighted to announce that we will be attending the Lancashire Business Expo on 25 March, so we thought we would give the event organisers, Shout Network, the chance to experience the MINI Electric for themselves!
Shout Expo Director, Jordan, was excited for his weekend with the MINI Electric and having never driven an electric car before he wasn’t sure what to expect. We always find that you can tell someone 100 times about how fast the MINI Electric is off the mark, and how it handles like it’s on rails, so we weren’t surprised when we received a message 10 minutes after he collected the car saying, “It sure is nippy, it surprised me even after what you said!”
Jordan had a busy weekend ahead of him, with trips around Lancashire in preparation for the Expo. Following his activity on social media, we saw Jordan make a trip to Preston North End Football Club, Winckley Square and Preston Docklands to name a few.

Over 200 BMW motorbike owners and superbike enthusiasts attended a charity fundraising Race Season Preview Event at Bowker Motorrad on the docks in Preston.
The charity bar, raffle and auction raised over £2,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust and Andy’s Man Club.
Racing teams, riders, sponsors and superbike supporters came from throughout the North West, and as far away as Reading in Berkshire, to celebrate the build up to this year’s Bennett’s British Superbike (BSB) championship.
Head of Business at Bowker Motorrad, John Nichol, said: “Thank you to everyone who supported and attended our charity fundraiser for these worthy causes. If you loved all things racing, then our exclusive preview evening was a perfect way to celebrate the build up to the eagerly-awaited superbike racing season.
“We are especially grateful to the riders who spent time chatting with guests offering their unique insights and thoughts about the rounds to come.”
The evening saw the official unveiling of the new 2022 iForce BMW BSB PR Racing livery. It was the first public appearance of the bike since Bowker Motorrad BMW confirmed its sixth successive year in partnership with the Bennett’s British Superbike Championship racing team.
Julian Mosquera, PR Racing development director, said: “Thank you to Bowker Motorrad for hosting a wonderful season preview. And thank you to everyone who supported the event in their numbers raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust and Andy’s Man Club. It was the perfect occasion to launch our new racing livery for the 2022 season. We loved the positive comments on the night and can’t wait for the BSB season to get started.”
This season represents the Liverpool team’s 21st season in the British Superbike Championship; this year the team is entering three riders instead of two for the first time.
All three riders – Dan Linfoot, Fraser Rogers and Dan Jones – attended the Bowker Motorrad event. They took part in a live question and answer session along with the riders from Smith Twins Racing and Wiz Norton Racing.
The three PR Racing riders will start preseason testing for the first time at Snetterton on March 26th, before heading to Silverstone for the first round of the 2022 season on April 15th.

Learner drivers in Clitheroe will be amongst the first in Lancashire to take driving lessons in a new electric MINI.
Bob Devine of Clitheroe School of Motoring has become the first driving instructor to buy an electric MINI from Bowker in Blackburn. His new MINI electric will be available to students to drive later this month.
After picking up his new MINI from the Bowker MINI centre on Trident Park in Blackburn, Bob Devine said: “I’ve driven MINIs from Bowker for more than 16 years now. When the MINI electric was launched last year I was immediately curious. Then I drove one – and wow! It was so smooth! I started to wonder how my learners would react if I bought one. I asked followers on my business page how they would feel about learning on an electric vehicle. And the response was extremely positive.
“I had no issues about switching over to electric. The automatic transmission is more popular than ever with learners. In fact, many tell me they may never need to drive a manual transmission vehicle. I have two children who, when old enough, will both learn in the automatic electric MINI. Now the driving industry as a whole is starting to adapt; ready for the future.
“The fuel costs alone are at least a third of my previous diesel/petrol car. That’s before you factor in road tax. The range is perfect for my business and lifestyle needs. And the environmental benefits are the icing on the cake.”

Start from the comfort of your couch by planning your route from the app, then send it directly to your MINI’s infotainment system so you’re ready to go. Plus, you can use the MINI App on your smartphone to track down where you’ve parked and even check whether you locked your doors. And when your next service is due, the app will ping you a notification to remind you to get booked in with your local Bowker MINI Centre.
To add your MINI to your MINI App, first make sure you have downloaded the app. When given the option to login or register. Once this stage is complete and you have logged in, enter your four digit pin to complete authentication.
You will then be able to add your MINI onto the App using your vehicles VIN number.
