MINI and fashion designer Sir Paul Smith, have teamed up once again to create a stylish new car – the MINI Paul Smith Edition.
The collaboration was revealed on 29 October 2025 at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo, marking another chapter in a long-running partnership between the designer and the much-loved car brand.
The new edition is based on the latest MINI Cooper family and will be available across 3-Door, 5-Door and Convertible models.
It combines MINI’s fun, distinctive design with Paul Smith’s famous “classic with a twist” style. The car features unique colours, including Statement Grey, Inspired White and Midnight Black Metallic, with elegant green details known as Nottingham Green – a tribute to Paul Smith’s hometown.
Inside, the cabin has a truly British feel.
The seats are finished in blue tones, while striped fabrics inspired by Paul Smith’s signature designs appear on the dashboard and door panels. The attention to detail creates a space that feels both modern and sophisticated, perfectly reflecting MINI’s blend of tradition and innovation.
Other playful details include a ‘Hello’ light projection when you open the door, and the phrase “Every day is a new beginning” printed on the door sills.
Sir Paul Smith described the project as “a wonderful opportunity to bring together two icons of British design,” while MINI’s Head of Design, Holger Hampf, said the car captures “a shared love for creativity and attention to detail.”
This latest collaboration continues a partnership that dates back to 1998, when Paul Smith first designed a special blue Mini. Since then, the pair have created several one-off cars, including the minimalist MINI STRIP in 2021 and the electric MINI Recharged in 2022.
The new MINI Paul Smith Edition is a celebration of both brands’ shared values – British heritage, bold creativity and timeless style.
