Bowker Motor Group has confirmed that its new LEPAS dealerships in Blackburn and Preston will open on September 1st 2026.
The dealerships will represent LEPAS, the new electrified automotive brand, which launched in the UK this Summer, offering a growing range of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles.
The Preston dealership will operate from its temporary location on Channel Way while plans continue for a permanent site. In Blackburn, Bowker has established a dedicated showroom for the brand. The opening follows preparations undertaken since Bowker secured the LEPAS franchise for both locations.
John Nichol, head of business, said: “We’ve been working towards this date for some time, and it’s great to be able to confirm when customers will be able to visit us. There’s been plenty of interest in the brand already, and we’re looking forward to introducing LEPAS to motorists across the region.”
The first model to hit Bowker’s new LEPAS showrooms will be the stylish LEPAS L8 premium SUV..Offering outstanding levels of technology, safety and comfort and priced from just £34,900 RRP on-the-road, the L8 is a must-look for motorists looking for a new family car.
The model is initially offered with the state-of-the-art LEPAS Super Hybrid ecosystem, which can deliver a combined range of up to 745 miles, a pure electric range of up to 56 miles and a highly efficient combined fuel consumption of up to 403.5 mpg (according to WLTP test cycle).
The smaller L6 midsize SUV and city-friendly L4 SUV will follow hot on the heels of the L8 and a fully electric L8 will follow in 2027
The opening follows Bowker’s recent expansion of its partnership with Chery International through the launch of a CHERY dealership in Preston. LEPAS becomes the latest Chery brand represented by the group.
John Nichol added: “Launching a new automotive brand doesn’t happen often. It’s exciting to be part of bringing LEPAS to Lancashire and helping customers experience the vehicles for themselves.”
