Retail Sales Manager

Bowker Preston

Bowker Motor Group is recruiting for a full-time experienced Retail Sales Manager for their BMW Centre on Preston Docklands.

As opportunities in the prestige motor industry like this are extremely rare, all applicants must have a minimum of 5 years proven automotive retail sales management experience, and be able to not only demonstrate the skills of a compliant ‘Business Manager’, but also drive the business forward by ensuring they are fully integrated within the sales process.  You will also need to embrace team working and deliver an unprecedented journey for both internal and external customers.

It will be essential to adapt to individual’s needs, and lead and empower the sales team to ensure the customer journey is flawless.  You need to be driven, self-motivated, energetic, ambitious, a team player, fully compliant with FCA legislation, well organised, with good interpersonal, training, coaching and negotiation skills.

Main duties will be to:

  • Maximise the sale vehicles’ profitability by optimising the finance and general insurance opportunities
  • Consistently review and monitor performance and trends within the F&I department to effectively highlight areas of opportunity
  • Effectively manage, train, coach, motivate and develop the Sales Executives to perform at an industry leading standard
  • Embrace change and constantly seek new ideas to effectively and consistently improve our KPI’s including F&I PPU and penetration
  • Whilst the role’s main responsibility is New BMW Sales, this role requires a team player who would fully support the other Retail Sales Managers within the Centre as business demands, to ensure both our external and internal customer experience is consistent, unique and professional
  • Oversee the current F&I customer database to identify both retention and conquest opportunities, working closely with our Retention Specialist to optimise every potential opportunity
  • Maintain FCA compliance and treat our customers transparently and fairly

If you can listen well, uncover individual customer’s needs and have an outgoing personality, it all adds up to a successful career as a BMW Genius. We’re on the look out for someone who will help customers in our dealership wishing to know more about our products.

You do not need to be a BMW expert as you will be taught everything you need to know. Experience in the high street retail environment would be advantageous and you’ll need to be able to demonstrate a real talent for customer service.

Aftersales Retention Executive

Bowker Preston

Due to expansion, a new Aftersales Retention Executive position has arisen within Bowker Motor Group at the BMW & MINI Centre on Preston Docklands.

The objective of the position is to drive work into our Aftersales department to increase profitability, and the retention and loyalty of our existing customers.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is driven, has a passion for customer service, with an outstanding telephone manner and can demonstrate the following qualities and knowledge:

  • Passion for customer service
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Target driven
  • Enthusiastic
  • Ability to work under pressure

Previous experience in this or a similar role is essential, and a sales background would be a distinct advantage.

Working days are Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota basis.
