At its core, the M5 Competition is a statement of performance, and this can be seen and felt in every inch of the design. Instantly noticeable is the remodelled apron, which has a central air inlet in mesh design, two large side air inlets and a seamlessly integrated new Adaptive LED Shadowline headlights. The athletic proportions are accentuated by a lower centre of gravity and a wider stance, which is superb for handling. Inside, the driver-oriented cockpit comes in luxurious Full Merino leather, new Galvanic controls, and track-inspired M detailing, such as the M leather steering wheel with red pre-configurable M1 and M2 driver setting buttons.
M Mode.
With ROAD, SPORT and TRACK settings, the M Mode button on the centre console to adjust the control intensity of the driver assistance system. What’s more, the display system will change to reveal relevant driving information.
BMW M xDrive.
Enjoy the choice of driving variants including 4WD, 4WD Sport and – in DSC-off mode – 2WD with BMW’s M xDrive. Available with Active M differential, it maximised traction and control on everyday drives and also on track to deliver the M5’s sheer power.

The BMW M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine of the BMW M5 Competition is the most powerful motor that BMW M has ever developed for a series production vehicle. The 4.4-litre power unit delivers 625hp, 750 Nm of torque, and goes from 0 to 62mh in a mere 3.3 seconds.
