The continuous black sills and the diffuser with the distinctive twin tailpipes are a nod to its motor racing connection, which can also be felt with the carbon highlights of the optional M Carbon exterior package. As expected, the interior has a driver-oriented design with immersive M seats in Merino leather as standard with M seat belts, seat ventilation and air collars. Add to this the mood lighting and Harman Kardon surround sound system, and you have a truly amazing atmosphere.

The two turbochargers, a direct high-precision injection, and the fully variable valve control (amongst other high-performance elements) come together perfectly to deliver outstanding performance, everytime.

The 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic offers several shifting options: athletic, comfortable and fuel efficient. You can shift manually using the gear lever of the gearshift paddles, or select one of three automatic programmes using Drivelogic.

With a choice of 4WD, 4WD Sport and 0 in DSC-off mode – 2WD, BMW M xDrive with Active M differential delivers maximum traction and driving dynamics for both everyday driving at the racetrack.
