Bowker Ribble Valley take on The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge!
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Our team had been looking for a challenge and conquered The Yorkshire Three Peaks on 31st October 2015!
The team of 8 took on the mammoth climb in order to raise money for the East Lancs Hospice, which is a charity that has continuously provided a special way of caring for people suffering from life limiting illnesses throughout the Blackburn, Darwen, Accrington and Clitheroe area.
