Meet The Team
Andrew Baxter - Sales Manager
Blackburn ‘born and bred’, Andrew has slotted right into the Bowker ‘family’. Whilst he only looks a shade over 21 (his words), he has actually spent 28 years in the motor industry, and in the prestige car sector for the vast majority of this. Absolutely loves working at Ribble Valley, and thrives on sourcing stock of the highest calibre. He’s passionate about the customer experience, the job being done ‘right’....& words. When not at work can usually be found burning the candle at both ends. Favourite car is a 964 RS, and would quite happily sell his two girls to fund one!
Paul Lomax – Aftersales Manager
Paul has recently returned from working in the motor industry in the Middle East and is fully embracing and enjoying working for a family run business. Being a motors enthusiast being able to deal with different brands is a big plus for Paul. When he isn’t working he enjoys country walks and spending time with his family and dogs. One of Paul’s passions since he was a teenager is restoring and racing motorbikes where he competes competitively.
Mark Doran – Sales Executive
Mark enjoys spending time with his young family and walking his dogs in the countryside. When he isn’t enjoying the outdoor lifestyle he enjoys watching F1 racing and playing his guitar. Mark has worked in the motor trade for over 16 years and loves the variety of cars on display at Bowker Ribble Valley.
Martin Rayner - Sales Executive
Martin enjoys snowboarding, and tries to go away on at least one snowboarding holiday a year. Martin has been on a few downhill mountain biking trips to Scotland and Austria, and more recently this has ignited an interest in road riding. Martin also enjoys playing golf although even by his own admission he isn’t very good! Getting to work with the best cars on the road is a huge upside of Martin’s job, as well as the rewarding feeling you get when you see a customer treat themselves to a car which has been a “dream” of theirs and the positive effect this has on them. Martin’s favourite Maserati is the Merak.
Renee Eccles – Sales Admin
Renee is a busy working mum of two daughters and after a brief career break from the Bowker Motor Group she rejoined the team again in 2012, after realising she couldn’t stay away! Being one of the only two females at Bowker Ribble Valley, Renee definitely isn’t fazed by this and enjoys the friendly atmosphere.
Jonathan Higham – Technician / Workshop Control
Jonny has a young family so most of his spare time is taken up by his two daughters and their demanding social lives. Jonny does put time aside on a Sunday morning though to ride one of his three motorbikes and his keen interest for motorbikes takes him to the Isle of Man every year to watch the TT Races. Jonny enjoys the friendly atmosphere at Bowker Ribble Valley and is always on hand to make everybody laugh.
Kevin Smith – Technician
Kevin is a keen football fan, and is very excited for the World Cup. He likes spending lazy Sunday afternoons socialising with friends sampling real ales. Kevin is a keen cyclist but is self proclaimed as being out of practise, but is hopeful the summer will allow him to reignite his passion for cycling. He doesn’t just enjoy working with the other technicians but also likes to socialise with them outside of work, emphasising the family atmosphere.
Mark Crossley – Technician
Mark or ‘Minty’ as he is affectionately known, due to his uncanny resemblance to the Ex Eastenders mechanic, spends as much of his spare time as possible with his son Jack. He also enjoys the danger and adrenaline rush of downhill mountain biking in Wales. Minty describes the variety of cars as the best part of his job and the fact that every day is a new challenge.
Kennie Hill – Service/Parts Advisor
Being a keen golfer Kennie likes to spend his spare time on the golf course, and is currently undergoing a garden renovation at his new house. He likes going on holidays and quotes New York and Venice as the best places he has visited. Cars are Kennie’s other passion and describes coming to work every day as an absolute pleasure, as customers do become friends.
Gareth Davy – Valeter
Gaz has always had an interest in cars from a young age and enjoys taking his BMW M3 to classic car shows. Gaz describes himself as a food lover, with Sunday Roast being his all time favourite!
