Harley-Davidson® ends the 2016 event season with a bang at European Bike Week, Faaker See, Austria

More than 100,000 Harley-Davidson® riders, fans and motorcycle enthusiasts from across Europe and beyond are set to descend around the picturesque Lake Faak in Austria, 6-11th September, for the 19th year of the legendary European Bike Week®.

Since its launch back in 1998 this iconic event has become one of Harley-Davidson’s biggest and most hotly anticipated rallies, renowned for its epic rider experiences and some of the most striking and scenic mountain roads the Alps have to offer. For five days, the stunning lakeside village of Faaker See, in the southern region of Carinthia, Austria, will be transformed into Europe’s largest open and free motorcycle event.

At the centre of the festivities will be the Harley-Davidson Village, where visitors can keep the party going well into the night by visiting the main Plaza to enjoy a large range of stage for an eclectic mix of live music, DJs and musical talent. Cafes and bars add to the party flavor.

Main stage headline acts include: Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Royal Republic, Trez Hombrez, Tito & Tarantula, Physical Graffiti as well as Celtica, Boppin’ B, The Brew, Zodiac, The Picturebooks and more.

This year’s Harley-Davidson Village will play host to activities ranging from the Hot Spot Bar, Team 412 and Vida Loca Party Bus and also the popular Customiser Area, where visitors can check out custom bikes from across Europe. An assortment of expos, bars and stalls, where guests can admire the latest Harley-Davidson models and pick up clothing and accessories will be obvious must-see highlights.

The latest Harley-Davidson models will also be available for viewing in the Expo and for test rides these will be in the Demo area. Those seeking a stripped-down style should check out the new Dark Custom zone, which will showcase a variety of blacked-out and matte finished bikes and accessories designed for customers to express their rebellious side.

Attendees will also be able to soak up the sights and sounds of the festival at the brand new H.O.G Zone, which will offer complimentary drinks, snacks and Wi-Fi for H.O.G. members as well as guided tours led by local Harley-Davidson H.O.G. Chapter.

The annual Custom Bike Show will present a world-class field of the finest custom creations from across Europe, Middle East and Africa. On Saturday, the shores of the lake will come alive for Parade Day. The outstanding Carinthia scenery will provide the perfect backdrop for thousands of riders to showcase their passion for Harley-Davidson by winding their way through the local country roads. It’s big; it is fun and you really need to be there to appreciate it. See you there.
